ZP Rodent Oat Bait Ag
ZP Rodent Oat Bait is manufactured by Bell Laboratories Inc. to control for rats, mice, and gophers, and more. It is a restricted rodenticide and can only be purchased and applied by certified applicators. ZP Rodent Oat Bait is made with zinc phosphide and is used to protect croplands and orchards from being damaged by rodents. It only takes a few teaspoon amounts to produce the same results as 4 ounces of anticoagulant bait. ZP Rodent Oat Bait kills targeted pests within hours of the first feeding.
Tools Needed
There are no tools required for the use of ZP Rodent Oat Bait, however the bait should be applied in tamper proof bait stations to prevent children and non-targeted pets or animals from accessing the bait.
How to Use
- Step 1: Identify the rodent that has invaded your property and where they are active. ZP Rodent Bait has specific application directions depending on the rodent and the setting where they are located.
- Step 2: For most rodents, a tamper proof bait station can be utilized to prevent non-targeted animals or humans from accessing the poison. It is suggested to initially pre-bait areas with untreated food before applying ZP Rodent Oat Bait to lure targeted pests to the area. ZP Rodent Oat Bait can also be applied directly into burrows by hand or broadcast on label approved croplands.
- Step 3:Once rodents have been comfortably consuming prebait in the area, you can then apply the ZP Rodent Oat Bait in the bait stations. Apply a teaspoon (4 grams) of bait in each bait station. Space bait stations at intervals of 8-12 feet in infested areas. Maintain bait in stations for 3 days. Extend the baiting period only if there is continued evidence of feeding from the stations by the target rodent.
- Step 4: For treating rodent burrows, by hand place 4 to 8 grams of bait at 2 locations near the entrance. Keep areas clean and properly dispose of any dead rodents. Reapply until rodent activity has stopped.
Where to Use
ZP Rodent Oat Bait is for professional use only to protect orchards, groves, non-crop rights-of-way by canals or ditches, ornamental and non-bearing fruit tree farms, vineyards, Christmas tree farms, turfs, lawns, golf courses, land around airports, and more.
When to Use
ZP Rodent Oat Bait can be used anytime targeted pests activity has been identified.
Safety Information
ZP Rodent Oat Bait is safe to use when applied according to label directions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying ZP Rodent Oat Bait.
