Martin's Viper RTU is manufactured by Control Solutions and is a ready to use insecticide used for controlling bed bugs, fleas, flies, ticks, cockroaches, and more. The active ingredient is permethrin and it is safe to use on dogs, livestock, and poultry to relieve them of biting insects, like fleas and stable flies. Viper RTU has a country fresh scent and delivers a residual control of up to 60 days.
Tools Needed
Viper RTU comes with a convenient spraying attachment so there are no other tools needed to use this product.
How to Use
- Step 1: Shake the gallon container well and then affix the trigger, pump or other type of sprayer to the container for application with no mixing necessary.
- Step 2: If conducting an indoor treatment, spot spray cracks, crevices, baseboards and carpet edges. Viper RTU can be used outdoors as a crack and crevice spray and applied to lawns, soil, and vegetation around structures.
- Step 3: For bed bug control, spray Viper RTU lightly on a mattress, particularly around tufts and seams. Take the bed frame apart and spray in all joints. Treat baseboards, moldings and floors. Repeat treatment as needed.
- Step 4: If applying to a pet or animal, start by spraying at the tail, moving the dispenser rapidly and making sure that the animal's entire body is covered, including the legs and underbody, but not saturated. While spraying, fluff the hair so that the spray will penetrate to the skin. Do not spray into the face or eyes, and take care not to apply the product to genitalia.
Where to Use
Viper RTU can be used indoors and outdoors of residential commercial and industrial areas as well as on dogs livestock and poultry. Indoors, use primarily as a spot treatment of cracks and crevices around areas where you've seen the target pest.
When to Use
Make applications of Viper RTU on calm days with low wind speeds and temperatures below 90 degrees F.
Safety Information
Viper RTU is safe to use when applied according to label directions. Make sure to wear the proper PPE before handing or applying Viper RTU. Do not allow children or pets to contact treated areas until surfaces are dry. To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters.
Special Considerations
While the product can be used on animals, it should primarily be used on healthy, adult dogs or livestock. Do not spray this product on cats. Always consult your veterinarian before applying the product to your animals.
