Topchoice is a professional grade granulated insecticide manufactured by Bayer. It is used by Certified Applicators treating turfs and lawns for imported fire ants and other insects. Topchoice Insecticide control imported fire ant for up to 1 years and can be applied residential, public, and commercial properties.
Topchoice's granulated product is easy to apply with a broadcast spreader and does not require mixing. Topchoice Insecticide will also control fleas and ticks for up to 30 days. When imported fire ants cause damage to lawns, and cause harm to those who come in contact with them, use Topchoice Insecticide Granules for up to 365 days of elimination.
Tools Needed
To apply Topchoice Insecticide Granules, a handheld spreader, push spreader or broadcast spreader is needed. When applying the granules in small areas, the handheld spreader is recommended to keep the granules from entering non-targeted areas.
How to Use
- Step 1: When applying Topchoice Insecticide Granules to common size residential lawns, begin by calculating the square footage of the lawn to be sure the correct amount of Topchoice will be applied. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area and mutliply the two values (length x width = square footage). 2 pounds of Topchoice will treat up to 1,000 square feet.
- Step 2: Pour the correct amount of Topchoice Insecticide Granules in the spreader.
- Step 3: Adjust the spreader setting according to the product label and begin pushing the spreader at a steady pace to ensure even coverage. For maximum results controlling imported fire ants, water the areas where granules were applied. Reapply Topchoice Insecticide Granules in 1 year.
Where to Use
Topchoice Insecticide Granules can be applied to turfs and lawn in residential, recreational and commercial areas. Topchoice Insecticide is ideal for parks, campsites, sod farms, sports fields, schoolyards, landscape flower beds, and more. Do not apply Topchoice Insecticide Granules where it will reach bodies of water such as ponds or lakes and do not apply the product to paved or concrete roads or sidewalks.
When to Use
Topchoice Insecticide Granules can be applied before or after imported fire ant and other label listed insect activity is detected. It cannot be applied more than once a year.
