Stihl SR 450 Mist Blower, manufactured by Stihl, is a professional grade backpack sprayer and duster that can hold 3.7 gallons of liquid and solid insecticides, fertilizers, herbicides, and other granular applications.

Stihl SR 450 Mist Blower is a two in one converstion mechanism for dusting and spraying granules that helps for exact measuring for dust metering. It features a more powerful engine that allows for a 20% greater spray range to previous models. 

It is ideal for distrubiting liquid and solid products and Stihl SR 450 mist blower can easily be changed into misting or dusting treatments without any additional tools or equipment. Stihl SR 450 Mist Blower air speed can easily be fixed for greater application and this product can also be used as a powerful leaf blower for debris cleanup.

Tools Needed

To use the Stihl SR 450 Mist Blower all you need is your choice of insecticide liquid to mix into the sprayer tank. Trashbags for waste cleanup if needed. You will also need the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect your face, eyes, mouth, hands, and feet when using this product.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much fertilizer, herbicide, or insecticide, you will need for an application in the Stihl SR 450 mist blower. The tank can hold 3 gallons of product. Depending on the size of your property or treatment area, target pest and the insecticide you are using may require more than one application.
• Step 2: Twist the cap off the tank and fill the tank halfway with water. After halfway filled with water, take your product of choice, and pour it into the tank according to the products application rates.
• Step 3: Agitate the unit and then top off the tank the rest of the way with water required for proper mix. 
• Step 4: To start the engine, place the setting level on 1 and then press the manual fuel pump bulb at least five times. Place the unit securely on the ground and then pull the starter grip. Do not jerk it or else you may break the string or the inner controls. The pull should be slow and smooth, unlike lawn mowers that require a strong jerking pull.
• Step 5: Place the Stihl SR 450 mist blower onto your back and adjust the sprayer to the right setting before applying the spray to target areas. When finished, power the sprayer down and store in a cool dry place.
