Tools Needed

To use the Stihl SR 200 Backpack Sprayer all you need is your choice of insecticide liquid to mix into the sprayer tank.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much diluted solution you need for an application in the SR 200 Backpack Sprayer. The tank holds 2.5 gallons. Depending on your property size, target pest and the insecticide you're using you may need to fill the sprayer more than once.
• Step 2: Twist the cap off the top and fill it up exactly halfway full with water. After it is filled up halfway, take your chemical of choice and pour it into the backpack according to the proper application rates.
• Step 3: Agitate the backpack a bit and then top off the sprayer the rest of the way with water required for proper mix.
• Step 4: To start the engine on the SR 200 Backpack Sprayer, place the setting level on 1 and then press the manual fuel pump bulb at least five times. Place the unit securely on the ground and then pull the starter grip. Do not jerk it or else you may break the string or the inner controls. The pull should be slow and smooth, unlike lawn mowers that require a strong jerking pull.
• Step 5: Place the Sprayer onto your back and adjust the sprayer to the right setting before applying the spray to target areas. When finished, power the sprayer down and store in a cool dry place.
