Southern AG Malathion-Oil Citrus & Ornamental Spray, manufactured by Southern Agricultural Products, is an expert oil insecticide to stop nuisance pests in both their adult and crawler stage without leaving behind severe toxicity levels in treated avocado, citrus, and outdoor ornamentals.

Designed to handle the most complicated of infestations, this product features malathion 5.0% and mineral oil 75.0% that causes the nervous systems of sucking and chewing pests to stop functioning leading to death.

Southern AG Malathion-Oil Citrus & Ornamental Spray is not only easy to use, it is also stronger and ensures the best growth results of labeled harvest due to the elimination of pests like whiteflies, spider mites, and scale.

Tools Needed

To use Southern AG Malathion , you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or hose-end sprayer.

How to Use

• Step 1: Examine labeled foliage for signs of pest activity and take note of the plant current condition. If there are signs of wilting, then wait until the plant is healthy again before applying Southern AG Malathion-Oil Citrus & Ornamental Spray. To treat outdoor avocados and outdoor ornamentals, use 2 tablespoons of Southern AG Malathion-Oil Citrus & Ornamental Spray per gallon of water. For outdoor citrus, apply 2 1/2 tablespoon of product per gallon of water.
• Step 2: To mix in a handheld pump sprayer or backpack sprayer, you will need to fill it with the half amount of water then add the measured amount of Southern AG Malathion-Oil Citrus & Ornamental Spray. Then pour in the remaining half of water and shake until the solution is mixed. For hose-end sprayers, pour the needed amount of product into the container then spray to add the correct amount of water.
• Step 3: Spray Southern AG Malathion-Oil Citrus & Ornamental Spray to the entire plant until is properly covered, but not to the point of runoff. Do not make more than one application every 30 days for outdoor avocados and outdoor citrus. A second application can be done 14 days after first outdoor ornamentals bloom. Do not water treated areas for the next 24 hours after application.

Where to Use

Southern AG Malathion-Oil Citrus & Ornamental Spray can be used on citrus (grapefruit, limes, oranges, tangerines, tangelos and kumquats), avocado, and outdoor ornamentals (such as camellia, gardenia, ligustrum, palms and ixora).

Do not apply to hibiscus, papaya, sensitive ferns, such as Boston, maiden hair, and peteris and certain species of crassula.

When to Use

Apply Southern AG Malathion-Oil Citrus & Ornamental Spray on healthy plants that show no signs of wilting or near wilting from lack of moisture on days when temperatures are beneath 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Outdoor ornamentals can only be treated after blooming.

Do not apply within 7 days of harvest of avocado or citrus. Nor apply this product when temperatures fall below or are expected to fall below 42 degrees Fahrenheit within 3 weeks of application.

Safety Information

Southern AG Malathion-Oil Citrus & Ornamental Spray is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until sprays have dried.

Special Considerations

Lemons can only be treated with Southern AG Malathion-Oil Citrus & Ornamental Spray in the state of Florida only.

This product cannot be used for any indoor sites.
