PT P.I. Aerosol is manufactured by BASF and is a contact insecticide that contains natural pyrethrins and is a great flushing agent and quick killer of pests indoors, outdoors and where food is handled. This product is perfect for areas where there is a large infestation of insects that must be killed immediately.
Pyrethrins are made from derivatives of the chrysanthemum follower which makes the product an environmentally friendly method of killing crawling and flying pests.
Tools Needed
P.T. P.I. Pyrethrin Aerosol comes in a ready to use aerosol can with no additional tools necessary.
How to Use
- Step 1: Inspect and identify the pest you want to treat and take note of the active areas where they are found or are hiding.
- Step 2: Apply as a space spray to knockdown flying insects on contact.
- Step 3: Alternatively, you can treat cracks and crevices with the help of an injector tip which comes with the spray. Place the injector tip into cracks, crevices, holes and other small openings and apply for 1 second. For light infestations, move injector tip along cracks while treating at the rate of 3 linear feet per second. For heavy infestations, move injector tip along at 1 linear foot per second.
- Step 4: Reapply as needed until there is no further threat.
Where to Use
P.T. P.I. Pyrethrin Aerosol can be used as a crack & crevice treatment, space spray, void treatment, or direct spot or contact treatment for a variety of insects in homes, offices, hotels, schools, warehouses, restaurants, processing plants, kitchens, etc. Focus your treatment around areas such as behind baseboards, cabinets, walls, ceilings, door and window frames, and around appliances.
When to Use
Use P.T. P.I. Aerosol when you are experiencing a heavy infestation of pests in your home or place of business. Insect pests can be active all year round but can be especially active in the summer through fall.
Safety Information
Before applying this product, please make sure to have on the proper PPE for safety (long sleeved clothing, gloves, face mask, goggles). After application, keep out of the area until the product has dried completely.
Special Considerations
P.T. P.I. Pyrethrin Aerosol is a contact insecticide meaning that it will only be effective for insects which come in direct contact with the spray. Once the application has dried, there are no residual effects.
