Permethrin 13.3% is produced by Control Solutions Inc. to control a wide range of insects. It uses the active ingredient Permethrin which delivers a long residual effect for up to 1 month and a quick knockdown.
Permethrin 13.3% is ideal for use on various livestock animals to repel and kill fleas, flies, and mosquitoes. It can also be used for indoor use to control bed bugs. Permethrin 13.3% can be used in multiple ways with different types of application equipment to ensure insect control.
Tools Needed
To apply Permethrin 13.3% a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or professional skid sprayer is needed. Permethrin 13.3% can also be used in outdoor residential mosquito misting systems or handheld fogger.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Permethrin you need by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure and multiply the length x width. How much Permethrin applied depends on the spray dilution ratio you want, 0.25% or 0.50%. Permethrin is mixed at a rate of 2.67 fl. oz. in a gallon of water for a 0.25% finished spray to cover 1,000 square feet. For heavier infestations, use the 0.50% ratio at 5.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water to cover 1,000 square feet.
- Step 2: For general purpose applications made with a handheld pump sprayer, begin by filling up the spray tank with 1/2 gallon of water. Add the appropriate amount of Permethrin 13.3% to the spray tank and add the other 1/2 gallon of water. Shake the spray tank to mix well.
- Step 3: Spray the solution mix to cracks and crevice areas, or as an outdoor perimeter treatment. Reapply every 4 weeks for continuous control. For applying on animals, dilute 2 oz. to 1 qt. of product in 1.3 to 66 gallons of water depending on the size of the animal and then spray, dip or sponge animals until they are entirely covered. Apply at intervals every 2 to 3 weeks.
Where to Use
Permethrin 13.3% can be used indoors as a spot spray or as a cracks and crevice spray. It can be applied around baseboards, floorboards, folds and seams in mattresses or box springs, around doors, windows, around plumbing pipes under sinks, around cabinets, and more.
Permethrin 13.3% can be used outdoors as a perimeter treatment spray along areas where exterior walls meet the foundation. It can be applied around windows, doors, weep holes and other areas where insects maybe getting indoors. It can also be used as a broadcast spray on turfs, lawns, and ornamental beds.
Permethrin 13.3% can also be used on beef cattle, dairy cattle, horses, sheep, goats, swine, poultry, dogs, kennels and other livestock living quarters.
When to Use
Permethrin 13.3% can be used as a preventative control before insect activity is identified. It can also be used as insect control, when there is an infestation. It can be used to control bed bugs, mosquitoes, and other insects listed on the label.
Safety Information
Permethrin 13.3% is safe to use around children, pets, and livestock when applied according to the product label. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying Permethrin 13.3%.
Do not use this product on cats or kittens.
Do not allow people or pets enter treated areas until sprays have dried.
