Navigator SC Termiticide
06/13/26
Navigator SC by Amvac is a durable termiticide and insecticide for pre- and post-construction termite control. It kills various subterranean termites and perimeter pests like ants and cockroaches for up to 90 days.
Contains 9.1% Fipronil, effective against termites. As a non-repellent insecticide, pests unknowingly contact and spread it within nests, eliminating colonies. It can be applied up to 4 times, lasting in soil up to 1 year. Outdoor perimeter treatments are needed only twice yearly.
Navigator SC mixes easily for trenching, spraying, or foaming to target termites in wood, walls, slabs, and foundations. It also controls ants and other pests rapidly, offering an economical solution.
Tools Needed
Use a hand-held pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or professional rig for large applications.
For complete perimeter treatment, sub-slab injection equipment is needed to drill and inject under concrete. For trenching, use a pickaxe or shovel and a 5-gallon bucket to mix and apply.
How to Use
- Step 1: Measure the treatment area's square footage (length × width). For trenching, dilute to 0.06% and apply 4 gallons per 10 linear feet per foot depth. For perimeter spraying, apply 2 quarts of 0.06% dilution per 160 linear feet (~1.5 gallons per 1000 sq. ft).
- Step 2: For spraying, fill the sprayer 1/4 with water, add Navigator SC, fill with remaining water, close, and shake well. For trenching, mix product and water in a 5-gallon bucket to avoid spills.
- Step 3: Spray a low-pressure, coarse spray up to 18 inches wide around entry points like doors, windows, vents, and penetrations. Treat one foot up and out around the structure. For trenching, dig a 6" by 6" trench around the perimeter, keeping soil for backfilling. Create soil dams every 10 feet, apply 4 gallons of solution per section, then backfill tightly.
Where to Use:
Apply on exterior surfaces and foundation perimeters. Indoor use is limited to label-specified termite and foam wall void treatments.
Treat all slab surfaces, including living areas, carports, porches, basements, and entrances. Before slabs, treat vertical zones around penetrations like plumbing.
For post-construction, treat foundation walls, pillars, and adjoining concrete like patios via sub-slab injection.
Do not use on golf course turf but may be applied to structures near golf courses as labeled. Avoid using in foam-insulated voids and do not treat fruit or nut trees.
When to Use:
Use preventatively or to eliminate active wood termite infestations. Suitable for pre- or post-construction treatment.
Do not apply if rain is forecast within 24 hours or if soil is saturated or frozen.
Safety Information
Safe around children and pets when used as directed. Always wear proper PPE when mixing or applying.
Keep residents, children, and pets away until spray dries.
Special Considerations
Seal all holes in occupied areas treated with non-cellulose plugs or covers.
Do not use indoors except for active termite or ant infestations in wall voids only.
