MistAway Gen III Float Switch
The Mistaway Float Switch GEN III is a specialty part manufactured by MistAway and is used to replace a malfunctioning float switch on a Gen 3 Misting System. The Float switch is used to shut the unit off when the tank empties. When residue accumulates in the batch tank, it can impede the movement of the switch, causing it to fail. If your MistAway's Gen 3 float switch is malfunctioning, this is what is needed to get it back up and running properly.
Tools Needed
To install the Mistaway Float Switch GEN III, you will need a crescent wrench and paper towels to blot insecticide.
How to Use
- Step 1: Following the MistAway Instruction manual, reposition the controller and shroud until you get to the float switch.
- Step 2: Remove the float switch from the wiring harness and examine. Remove and replace with the new float switch to the wiring harness and secure the switch to the bracket using the crescent wrench.
- Step 3: Once secure, replace the shroud and controller back to their original position and then run a couple of test mistings to check if the unit is working correctly without issue.
Where to Use
The MistAway Gen III float switch is mounted to a bracket over the back left corner of the batch tank. Remove the old switch and replace with a new one here.
When to Use
You should install a new float switch to your MistAway Gen III system when your misting system is not properly indicating the level of fluid in the tank.
Safety Information
The MistAway Gen II float switch is safe to use and install when done so according to manual directions.
Special Considerations
Make sure to carefully read the instructions MistAway provides for installing the switch as they have more detailed directions than what we have provided.
