Lambda 9.7 CS is the safe choice for killing a variety of bugs. Developed by Zoecon, Lambda delivers a quick knockdown, offers a great residual effect, is very low odor and is easy to mix with a squeeze-n-measure bottle.
Tools Needed
To use Lambda 9.7 you will need either a hose end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig. For small household jobs, we recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer or a 4-gallon backpack sprayer. You could even use a paintbrush to apply on certain surfaces.
How to Use
- Step 1: Measure the square footage of the area you will be treating. You can do this by multiplying the length times width. After you have the square feet to be treated, divide by 1,000 to get the number of finished gallons of spray you will need to use. For example, if you have 3,000 sq.ft. to treat you will need (3,000/1,000) 3 gallons of solution.
- Step 2: Determine your mix rate for the target insect. Lambda 9.7 can be mixed between 0.2 and 0.8 ounces per gallon of water. You can find the exact rates on the product label.
- Step 3: Dilute 9.7 with water and mix well into a sprayer.
- Step 4: Apply the product according to labeled directions in the areas where you are having pest infestations. Apply a band 10 feet wide around the perimeter and up to 3 feet high on a foundation. Use all around structures and in cracks and crevices where bugs may harbor.
- Step 5: Keep pets and people off of treated areas until dry. LambdaStar should kill pests in 1-2 days and is still active for up to 90 days after application
Where to Use
Lambda 9.7 can be used inside place such as homes, offices, and other man-made structures. It also is safe and effective to use outdoors on places like turf and livestock sites. Apply a band 10 feet wide around the perimeter and up to 3 feet high on a foundation and around windows, doors, and roof overhangs. Indoors you can apply as a coarse, low pressure spray to areas where these pests hide, such as baseboards, corners, storage areas, closets, around water pipes, doors and windows, attics, eaves and behind appliances.
When to Use
You will want to use Lambda 9.7 CS when pest activity is high. For most areas of the country, this is between March and October. You will want to spray every 30-90 days depending on rain and pest pressure.
Safety Information
Lambda 9.7 CS should be stored safely out of reach of children or pets and after applying everyone should be kept off the treated area until the product dries. Once dry, the product is clear and odorless and is safe. Be sure to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying.
Special Considerations
Lambda 9.7 CS is a microencapsulated product concentrate so it can settle out once diluted in water. Because of this, we recommend that anything you mix up be used the same day. It is also necessary to constantly agitate the solution in a spray tank during treatment.
