The MistAway Leak Detection Kit (Part Number 22090), manufactured by Mistaway, is a component of the MistAway Mosquito Misting System Gen 1.3 which measures flow into the nozzle circuit and keeps track of leaks.
When a leak is detected, the Leak Detection Kit powers off the Misting System until the problem is resolved. This product can be factory installed when you purchase a mosquito misting system but if it wasn't, you can retrofit this to a Gen 1.3 (with agitation).
Tools Needed
To install the MistAway Leak Detection Kit you will need a Phillips screwdriver and a tube release tool.
How to Use
- Step 1: Before installing, please first disconnect the power to the unit.
- Step 2: Using the screwdriver, remove the controller to gain access to the inside of the unit.
- Step 3: Using MistAway's specific directions, install the leak detection kit and make sure it is secure in place.
- Step 4: Reassemble your unit and program your unit to make sure that leak detection is enabled (indicated by the values FL,TL, AFR and TOL.)
Where to Use
The leak detection kit is a factory installed option or can be retro fitted to a Gen 1.3 model unit with Agitation only.
When to Use
It is recommended to have a leak detection kit installed into your mosquito misting unit to detect leaks and prevent misting concentrate waste.

Leak Detection may not function properly on systems with less than 20 nozzles and/or mist durations less than 30 seconds.
