04/09/26
Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate, manufactured by MGK, is a effective broad-spectrum, botanical insecticide that kills more than 140 types of pests within homes, barns, and food handling areas.
This fast-acting insecticide contains pyrethrins 5.00%, which are chemicals derived from chrysanthemum flowers that are toxic to pests like silverfish, gnats, and ants.
Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate ensures fast, effective control against various commercial and residential pests without leaving behind harmful residues.
Tools Needed
To use Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate you will need either a hose-end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig. For small household jobs, we recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer or a 4-gallon backpack sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate you will need depending on what pest you are spraying for and where you are spraying. To do this, calculate the square footage of the treatment area by measuring (in feet) and multiplying the area length times the width. Evergreen Pyrethrum can be diluted at a rate of 1 to 3 ounces to 1 gallon of water to cover 750 sq. ft. of area. So for example, if you calculated a treatment area of 1,500 sq. ft. you would need to mix 2 to 6 oz. of Evergreen in 2 gallons of water to cover the entire area.
- Step 2: Fill your spray tank halfway with the required amount of water and then add the measured amount of Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate based on your calculations. Fill with the remaining half of water close the lid and shake well so the solutions is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Apply Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate as a coarse spray indoors and outdoors where you have noticed insect activity. Monitor the area and apply this product as needed for continued control of the target pest you are dealing with.
Where to Use
Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate should be used in sensitive areas where toxic chemicals should be avoided such as barns, poultry farms, schools, apartments, kitchens and more. You could also apply it outdoors around trees, shrubs, flowers and foliage plants.
When to Use
Use Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate when you are dealing with a pest issue and would rather not use synthetic chemicals and want a more environmentally friendly option.
Safety Information
Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of treated areas until sprays have dried.
Special Considerations
Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is a pyrethrin and as such, pyrethrins degrade rapidly in sunlight. To ensure the best performance, coverage is key. Use spray equipment that will provide the best coverage and direct contact with as many insects as possible.
