Esplanade EZ Herbicide

Esplanade EZ Herbicide, manufactured by Bayer, is a non-selective herbicide that works both pre-emergently and post-emergently to kill existing weeds & grasses and features a residual effect that will keep new weeds from coming back.

Once applied, this suspended concentrate product causes existing weeds and grasses to wilt and die within several hours. Additionally, the combination of 3 active ingredients eliminates new broadleaf and grassy weeds to not grow for up to 6 months saving you time and money.

Esplanade EZ Herbicide is an ideal non-selective herbicide to treat hard to remove weeds and becomes rainproof within 30 minutes after application.

Tools Needed

To use Esplanade EZ Herbicide, you will need to mix the product into a sprayer of your choosing such as a backpack, hose-end or hand-pump sprayer. For the average job, a hand-pump gallon sprayer works best.

How to Use

• Step 1: Measure the square footage of your yard and based on that information mix the appropriate amount of Esplanade Herbicide with water in a hand-pump sprayer. Esplanade Herbicide can be mixed at a rate of 8oz per gallon of water covering 500 sq ft or 16 oz per gallon of water covering 1,000 sq ft. Shake the spraying container well.
• Step 2: Spot treat or spray the target areas, preferably with the sprayer on a fan spray setting for uniform coverage.
• Step 3: One application should provide up to 6 months of residual control reducing the need for reapplication but if you are dealing with a stubborn hard-to-kill weed, re-treat 2 weeks later if needed.

Where to Use

Esplanade should be used anywhere you have unwanted weeds growing or any vegetation showing up where it's not wanted such as parking lots, sidewalks, along fencing and park paths. You could also apply it on bareground areas, roads, driveways and more.

When to Use

Esplanade EZ should be sprayed when weeds are small and actively growing early in the season when temperatures are above 60° F and when it is sunny.

Safety Information

Before applying this product, please make sure to put on the proper PPE for safety (long sleeved clothing, gloves, face mask, goggles). The product is safe for pets and kids when used according to the label. Pets and children should not be present during treatment and should remain out of the treated areas until they have completely dried.
