Endeavor Insecticide
04/10/26
Endeavor Insecticide, manufactured by Syngenta, is a unique water soluble insecticide that quickly controls whiteflies and aphids on commercial ornamentals and vegetable plants grown for sale to consumers.
With its special active ingredient pymetrozine 50.0%, this product will work to eliminate pests in fast, yet safe manner while also creating a residual effect against aphids for 14-21 days and 14 days for whiteflies.
Endeavor Insecticide is a rainfast insecticide that moves systemically throughout ornamentals for complete, and long-lasting protection. This product is safe for predators, parasites and other beneficial mites and insects used in biological control programs, which ensures a pest-free environment and virus transmission in plants.
Tools Needed
Endeavor Insecticide must be applied through Irrigation Systems (Chemigation). This product may also be applied with a backpack sprayer or spray rig.
When making foliar applications to plants with hard-to-wet foliage, such as holly, ivy, or pine, the addition of a non-ionic or organosilicone-based surfactant to improve coverage is recommended.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Endeavor Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Foliar applications on ornamentals will use 2.5- 5.0 oz. of Endeavor Insecticide in 100 gallons of water. Drench applications on ornamentals will need to apply 5 oz. of product per 100 gallons of water. Foliar applications on vegetable plants, use 2.75 oz. of product in 100 gallons of water per acre or 0.31 oz. of product per 5,000 sq. ft.
- Step 2: In a seperate tank mix container, fill it with half the amount of water then add the needed amount of Endeavor Insecticide. Next, pour in the remaining half of water and agitate until solution is mixed. Fill your chemigation system as instructed in its product manual.
- Step 3: Spray labeled plants as either as a foliar spray or by chemigation with the mixed Endeavor Insecticide. To do so, spray the mixture uniformly to all plant surfaces, particularly the stem and leaf undersides, to point of runoff. For drench applications, you need to direct the spray towards the soil until it is adequately wet, but not to the point of leaching or overflow of container.
Where to Use
Endeavor Insecticide can be used on landscape and interiorscape ornamentals, field-grown and container-grown ornamentals, Christmas trees, and non-bearing fruit and nut trees produced in greenhouses, nurseries, lath and shade houses, and other outdoor growing structures.
This product can also be used on vegetable plants grown for sale to consumers and produced in greenhouses, nurseries, lath and shade houses, and other outdoor growing structures.
Do not spray ornamentals that bare edible fruits and nuts. Apply only to vegetable plants grown for sale to consumers.
When to Use
Apply Endeavor Insecticide when pests or signs of their activity is present or before they appear. Apply when plants are non-bearing of fruits and nuts. Ornamentals may be sprayed after bract formation.
Safety Information
Endeavor Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not enter treated areas without protective clothing until sprays have dried.
Special Considerations
Endeavor Insecticide has a mode of action that controls aphids and whitefl ies by stopping their feeding activity. These insects stop feeding within hours, but remain on the plant for a short time (2-4 days). Endeavor has residual activity in the plant and will control aphids and whitefl ies that move onto the plant after spraying.

| Keith's Pro Tip | "Endeavor Insecticide is suitable for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs as it has a low toxicity to beneficial insects (including honeybees and bumblebees) and mite populations. However, we do recommend making applications when pest populations are low and in the late evening to avoid possible beneficial insect activity." |
