Dimension 2EW Herbicide, manufactured by DOW/CORTEVA, is a selective Pre-Emergent Herbicide that provides control of Crabgrass and other annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in established lawns, commercial sod farms, ornamental and sports turf, container-grown ornamentals, landscape ornamental and non-cropland.
Dimension will not control weeds that are currently visible except for crabgrass in the early stages of growth. It is best applied before the weeds begin to pop up. To keep problematic weeds from creeping up every growing season, Dimenion 2EW is highly recommended, especially for weeds like crabgrass and many other labeled invaders.

To use Dimension 2EW, you will need to use a handheld or backpack sprayer as well as personal protective equipment for safety (Gloves, glasses, mask)
How to Use
- Step 1:.Determine how much Dimension 2EW you will need to apply by first calculating the square footage of the area you wish to treat. To do this, you need to measure and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). Dimension 2EW can be mixed between 0.5 to 0.73 ounces per 1,000 sq ft in 1 gallon of water depending on the weed. You can find the exact rates per weed on the product label.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer halfway with water then add in Dimension and any surfactant or spray dye. Close the lid to your sprayer and gently agitate the container this will mix the solution for an even application. Once we are done agitating the sprayer we will need to fill in the rest with water and agitate once more.
- Step 3: Apply the product according to labeled directions in the area where you are having weeds. Spray using a fan nozzle spray setting for even coverage. Keep all pets and people off the treated area until fully dry.
Where to Use
Dimension 2EW Herbicide can be applied in established lawns, commercial sod farms, ornamental and sports turf, golf course fairways, roughs, tee boxes, container-grown ornamentals, landscape ornamental and non-cropland, natural areas and Christmas trees.
When to Use
You will want to apply Dimension 2EW before the weeds begin to germinate and are visible. This can range depending on your location for the southern states this time frame normally falls between January to March. In the northern states, this time frame normally falls between February to May.
Before applying a pre-emergent you will want to aerate your lawn but make sure to not do this after the pre-emergent application. Aerating the lawn after applying the pre-emergent can break the seal over the ground and around the seeds which makes the pre-emergent less effective. We will also what to check the soil temperature by using a soil thermometer. The pre-emergent will need to be applied before the soil reaches 55 degrees. Temperatures higher than 55 will allow the unwanted seeds to germinate and grow
Safety Information
Dimension 2EW should be stored safely out of reach of children or pets and after applying everyone should keep off treated area until fully dry. Be sure to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying.
Special Considerations
Dimension Herbicide is best applied on well established lawns. Newly established turf will need a good root system and a uniform stand as well as having received at least two mowings following seeding, sodding or sprigging before making the first application. Using Dimension 2EW on turf that is not well established or has been stressed or weakened may result in turf injury.
