Cody Clopyralid Herbicide
Cody Herbicide is a selective herbicide used to kill broadleaf weeds growing on non-cropland and non producing cropland areas. The generic version of the popular Curtail Herbicide, Cody Herbicide It provides dual action as it kills weeds through absorbing into the foliage and also seeps into the ground to kill at the root system.
When using Cody Clopyralid Herbicide with a surfactant, browning of the plants can be seen within 2 days. Cody Clopyralid Herbicide is ideal for farmers and ranchers to keep weeds out of crops and fields.
Tools Needed
Cody Herbicide can be applied with a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer or a skid sprayer. We recommend using the handheld pump sprayer for smaller jobs.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Cody Herbicide you will need by measuring the area to be treated. Cody can be applied at various rates of Cody Herbicide can be applied at rates of 1 pt/acre, 2 pt/acre, 2 2/3 pt/acre, 3 pt/acre, 4 pt/acre. This breaks down to 3/8 fl. oz./1,000 sq. ft., 3/4 fl. oz./1,000 sq. ft, 1 fl. oz./1,000 sq. ft, 1 1/8 fl. oz./1,000 sq. ft, 1 1/2 fl. oz./1,000 sq. ft. Measure the square footage (length x width) of the area. If the area to be treated is 3,500 sq. ft. and you are applying 1 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft., then you will need to apply 3.5 oz. of Cody Clopyralid.
- Step 2: Fill you sprayer tank halfway with water and then add the correct amount of Cody Herbicide into the spray tank and the correct amount of a compatible surfactant. Fill the tank with the rest of the required amount of water and shake the spray tank to mix.
- Step 3: Make even application across the targeted weeds, just enough to wet the plant. Cody Clopyralid Herbicide is rainfast for up to 1 hour, however for the product to reach the root system, watering or rain should occur within 2 to 7 days.
Where to Use
Cody Herbicide is used on label listed crop areas and non-crop areas to control for various types of broadleaf weeds. It can be applied on permanent grass pastures, fallow croplands and broadleaf weeds found in wheat and barley that do not have legume seeded underneath. Do not spray into bodies of water that contain wildlife, as it is hazardous to fish. It is not recommended for use on turfs or lawns.
When to Use
Cody Herbicide is ideal for use by farmers and ranchers when controlling weeds on croplands and non-cropland areas. Cody Clopyralid Herbicide is most effective when applied after weeds have emerged from the ground. It can be applied when perennial grasses are fully grown and developed. Do not apply more than 5.3 pints of Cody Clopyralid Herbicide to croplands per year. For fallow croplands, do not apply more than twice a year.
