CimeXa Dust, manufactured by Rockwell Labs, is a effective broad-spectrum dust insecticide that contains amorphous silica 92.1% to kill pests like drywood pests and more without any use of additional active ingredients.

When pests such as pyrethroid resistant bed bugs or lice come into contact with the non-repellent insecticide, the product will cling to their exoskeleton and absorb the waxy cuticle, causing death from rapid dehydration.

CimeXa Dust provides a versatile low-toxic insecticide dust application as either a dust or wettable powder to control pests in and around residential, commercial, and other establishments. Once applied, this product can stay viable for up to 10 years when undisturbed.

Tools Needed

CimeXa Dust comes ready to use, though you can choose to use a handheld duster to make it easier to distribute the dust. You could also use it as a liquid application in a sprayer, foamer or paint-on application.

How to Use

Cimexa Application

  • Step 1: Determine how much CimeXa Dust to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). CimeXa should be used at a rate of 2 oz. of product per 100 sq. ft. In attics and crawl spaces, it is suggested to use 1 lb. of product per 1000 sq. ft. When applying as a liquid application, use 1 lb of product in 1 gallon of clean water. 1 quart of finished water slurry can cover 250 sq. ft.
  • Step 2: In a handheld duster, place CimeXa Dust in a duster at a rate of 2 oz per 100 square feet. If using as a spray, add a gallon of water to a sprayer and then add up to 1 lb. of product and then agitate the sprayer until the product as a slurry consistency.
  • Step 3: Apply the CimeXa Dust to areas such as cracks and crevices, wall voids and along rugs and carpet and any other places pests may harbor.
  • Step 4: Reapply as needed until you no longer see any insect activity.

Where to Use

CimeXa Dust is labelled to be used in and around residential, multi-family, commercial, industrial, institutional, municipal, agricultural, research, daycare, health care, educational, recreational, and office buildings, hotels, motels, garages, transport vehicles, warehouses, theaters, and other manmade structures, and food handling and food prcessing establishments.

Generally, you can apply where insects have been spotted such as behind fixtures and areas with voids like closets, attics, garbage chutes and pipes. For Bed bugs, you would focus treatment under the mattress, around bed frames and along baseboards and carpeting.

When to Use

Use CimeXa dust if you are looking for an effective long-term solution to an indoor pest problem or as part of a bed bug treatment program.

Safety Information

CimeXa Dust is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Keep children and pets out of treated areas.

Special Considerations
