B&G Rod Spring - VT618
04/09/26
The B&G Rod Spring VT-618 is manufactured by B&G Equipment Company is specifically sold for use as a replacement part for B&G Versatool Valve Sub-Slab Injector. The Rod Spring is part of the Sub-Slab Injector assembly located between the Valve Assembly and valve rod. When your spring has damaged and is causing a leak or dip in performance, replace the Rod Spring to get the Sub-Slab Injector back in working condition.
Tools Needed
To use the B&G Rod Spring, you will need the B&G Sub-Slab Injector termiticide application tool and possibly a pair of pliers or a crescent wrench to make sure the assembly parts are tightly secured.
How to Use
- Step 1: Following the directions that come with your B&G Versatool on replacing parts, take apart the Valve assembly and the connect parts until you get to old Rod Spring.
- Step 2: Remove the old Rod Spring and replace with the new Rod Spring, securing it between the Valve Assembly and Valve Rod/O-Ring parts.
- Step 3: Put your Sub-Slab Injector tool back together and test the tool out. If it is now spraying termiticide properly, the part replacement is complete.
Where to Use
The VT-618 Rod Spring is meant to be used to replace an old Rod Spring as part of the Valve assembly of the Versatool Valve B&G Sub Slab Injector. The B&G Sub Slab Injector is designed to inject termiticide under concrete slab around the home to treat for termites.
When to Use
Replace the Rod Spring when it has been damaged or you are experiencing a dip in spray injection quality. How often this part is changed depends on how often you use the sprayer. You may need to just change it once a year or even quarterly for heavy use sprayers.
Safety Information
Installing the B&G Rod Spring is safe to do when done so according to manual directions. Make sure to wear gloves when handling the B&G sprayer parts, as there may be residue from chemicals or buildup on the filter. Be sure to properly drain and clean the sprayer parts before performing maintenance. Keep small items like this check valve out of reach of pets and children.
Special Considerations
Along with the Rod spring, it would be wise to replace all the other small parts on the B&G Sub Slack Injector rather than just the one. Set a maintenance schedule for your Versatool Valve and change out all the parts in one shot to save time so your Versatool is back in good condition.
