Alpine WSG Insecticide

Alpine WSG Insecticide, manufactured by BASF, is an effective water-soluble granule insecticide that targets pests within residential and commercial properties. 

Powered with the non-repellent active ingredient dinotefuran 40.0%, which allows a broad-spectrum of pests like ants and cockroaches to enter treated areas. As a result, this prevents pests from being simply trapped inside thus allowing a majority of the population to contact treated areas. Pests like cockroaches can rest on treated surfaces thus leading to greater contact kill from prolonged exposure.  

Alpine WSG Insecticide is a dependable non-repellent insecticide that ensures applicatiors a pest-free space from either contact kill or transfer effect with minimum interval restrictions. 

Tools Needed

To use Alpine WSG Insecticide, you will need either a handheld sprayer or a backpack sprayer.

Do not apply in outdoor residential misting systems.

How to Use

• Step 1: Inspect the area to see where your target pest is active and note those places as this is where the spray treatment will be focused. Determine how much Alpine WSG Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply (length X width = square footage). Alpine WSG Insecticide is available either in pre-measured packets or water-soluble granules in a bottle. For a 0.1% concentration, Alpine WSG Insecticide is mixed at a rate of 0.35 oz. in a gallon of water to treat 1,000 sq. ft. For a 0.2% dilution, the rate is 0.70 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. and for 0.3% dilution, the rate is 1.05 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. Use the higher concentrations for severe infestations or for certain target pests. So for example, if you have 2,000 sq. ft. of measured area to treat and you want a 0.1% ratio, you will need to mix 0.70 oz. of Alpine WSG Insecticide in 2 gallons of water.
• Step 2: Add about 1/2 of the water to the spray tank. Add the appropriate measured amount of Alpine WSG Insecticide to the water, then complete filling the spray tank. Agitate the tank until the product is completely dissolved, then you are ready to spray.
• Step 3: Apply the Alpine WSG Insecticide spray mixture as a perimeter treatment outdoors (around weep holes, door and window frames, eaves, bushes, foliage etc.) or directly to wasps nests and anthills. Indoors, apply as a crack and crevice application in pest hiding places and points of entry depending on the target pest (void areas, under sinks and refrigerators, carpets, upholstered furniture etc.). Reapply the Alpine WSG spray as needed for continued control every month or so.

Where to Use

Alpine WSG Insecticide can be used both in and around apartments, campgrounds, cemeteries, clinics, dog kennels, food handling establishments, green belts, homes, hospitals, hotels, mausoleums, mobile homes, motels, food processing plants, nursing homes, resorts, schools, storage buildings, trailers, transportation equipment (autos, buses, boats, ships, trains, trucks, planes (cargo areas only), utilities, warehouses, commercial, industrial and residential buildings, theme parks, parks and recreational areas, and zoos.

Indoor applications can be done with spot treatments or crack and crevice applications into hiding places and entry points like cracks and crevices, void areas, moist areas, openings around pipes and sinks, under refrigerators or vending machines, interiorscapes, across lower doorway frame and window frames, screens, trashcans, ceilings, upper wall surfaces, under sinks, in pipe voids, attic venting, rugs, floors, carpets, upholstered furniture, pet beds, and pet resting areas.

Do not apply within aircraft cabins nor in patient rooms and classrooms while occupied. This product cannot be applied in food and feed areas of food handling establishments.

When to Use

Use Alpine WSG Insecticide when pest activity is high, which is usually around springtime. For preventative measures, you should apply monthly to have continued pest protection all year long.

Safety Information

Alpine WSG is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying or mixing this product.

Do not apply to humans or their clothing. Do not allow children or pets to contact treated surfaces until spray has dried.

Cover fish tanks prior to application near tanks.

Special Considerations

Remember that Alpine WSG Insecticide can kill bees and other insect pollinators so take care to spray with caution around sensitive areas.

This product does not provide an instant knockdown of pests.

Do not apply Alpine WSG Insecticide through any application method to linden, basswood, or other tilia species in the state of Oregon.
