Trelona Compressed Termite Bait Cartridges
04/10/26
Trelona Compressed Termite Bait Cartridges, manufactured by BASF, is an essential part of the ATBS Advance Termite Bait System. These refill cartridges contain the active ingredient Novaluron, a chitin inhibitor that prevents termites from maturing into sexual developed adults thus controlling future populations.
After bait is consumed, termites attract other colony members to the bait ensuring the entire termite infestation is controlled. Even those that do not directly feed on the bait can be eliminated through food sharing.
Trelona Compressed Termite Bait Cartidges uses a compressed cellulose material in the form of tablets designed with wood elements that termites specifically feed on for greater consumption of bait material. Keep your Advance Termite Bait System always supplied with the help of these cartridges.
Tools Needed
To use Trelona Compressed Termite Bait Cartridges, you will need the ATBS Advance Termite Bait System and a measuring tool (ie: measuring tape or measuring wheel) to measure where to install the station. To install the Bait Station you will need an auger bit or shovel to make a hole and insert the station.
How to Use
- Step 1: Start with using a measuring tool to measure two feet from the foundation of the structure as this is the ideal space where you should place the ATBS station. Stations should also be placed 5 to 10 feet apart from one another.
- Step 2: Use an auger to drill marked holes where you would be placing the stations and then insert the stations with the new Trelona Compressed Termite Bait Cartidge inserts. Make the hole deep enough so the station fits flush with the ground.
- Step 3: After 2 to 3 months, inspect stations to examine presence of termites and place more bait into the station as needed with new cartridges. After termite activity has been absent from a station for at least approximately 60 days, any remaining bait may be removed.
Where to Use
Trelona Compressed Termite Bait Cartridges is meant for outdoor use and installed into a Advance Termite Bait Station. This is usually around the exterior of a structure or home.
When to Use
Use Trelona Compressed Termite Bait Cartridges when your Advance Termite Bait Station has run out of product to treat for termite infestations.
Safety Information
Trelona Compressed Termite Bait Cartridges are safe to use around children and pets when applied according to label directions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling and applying this product.

Special Considerations
Do not place stations within 2 feet of previously applied termiticides (exceptions are if you use a non-repellent termiticide, such as Taurus SC).
The 3-inch diameter station is designed to be difficult to open without a special tool, known as the Advance Termite Station Spider Access Tool.
