2,4-D LV6 Herbicide
04/10/26
2,4-D LV6 from Alligare is an impressive weed killer that can control weeds and brush on a variety of sites. It is used primarily by agriculture managers to control weeds around crops like corn and soybean but it can also be used on lawns, ranges, pastures and more. The main active ingredient is 24-D which has a solid reputation in selective weed control.
Tools Needed
2,4-D LV6 Herbicide can be applied with a hand-held sprayer or backpack sprayer for general residential applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: Fill a hand-pump sprayer halfway with water then add the required amount of herbicide to the tank. The typical application rate varies depending on what weed you are trying to control and what the treatment site is so check the label for specifics.
- Step 2: Replace the cap and agitate by shaking the sprayer. Add the remaining water required and surfactant if needed, then repeat agitation until herbicide solution is thoroughly mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the target weed, making sure to get even coverage and not overlap spray bands to ensure grass health.
- Step 4: Wait a week and reapply if necessary
Where to Use
2,4-D LV6 is for selective broadleaf weed control on agricultural lands where crops are grown as well as on lawns, highways, right-of-ways and other non-crop areas.
When to Use
Apply2,4-D LV6 when weeds are young and growing. Do not apply when temperatures are above 90 degrees.
